Old Man Baird

Well, it happened! Brian turned the big 4-0. I hope he had a good day. We had a great time celebrating with family and friends.

A big birthday, deserves a great cake. What's better than a saxophone?

I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man! I love you, Brian (even if you are old)

Sweetness

We had the privilege of visiting my sweet Aunt Jayne and Uncle Terry. It's hard seeing people you love grow old. One blessing of Aunt Jayne's illness, is she doesn't know she's miserable. She has always played such a big part in my life and in all of my family's. It was great to see that her cute personality is still alive and well.

The girls loved visiting because Aunt Jayne has such cool toys.

She still has her spark and love for people

Cambree was in love!

Aunt Jayne wanted Tianne to herself. She wanted to hold and cuddle her.

We don't worry too much about Aunt Jayne, Uncle Terry has everything under control.

Vacation?

Do you really call a two day car ride, two days out of the car and a two day car ride home again, with three small girls, a vacation? I don't, but Brian does. Regardless of what you call it, we had a good time. Washington is beautiful and visiting Barry and Emily is the best!!!! And now that it is over, I can say I had a good time too. Thank heavens for car dvd players!

The car ride started out great! Everyone was excited and happy.

We got to drive the gorgeous drive along the Columbia River.

We did have a little medical problem, but we had such great medical doctors, that our worries were quickly diminished.

We went down to the Harbor, to see the Sound and to eat some great sea food.

Running and playing with cousins was the best.

Why go all that way, and not go to the Ocean. So off we went to spend the day playing in the sand and water. The ocean was a hit!

3 months

I am already three months old! I like growing and learning new things, even though I feel bad that my mom cries about it. I am so happy and laid back. I am such a good baby, I rarely even cry. I love my swing, especially my mobile. I will sit and talk and laugh at my butterflies all day long. I always wake up with a big smile on my face. I don't suck a thumb, or fingers, I just suck the whole fist! I sometimes gag myself by sticking fingers in my throat. I LOVE patty-cake! I giggle and giggle whenever Mommy plays it with me. I am such a happy, happy baby!

Six!

Is it possible? I have a six year old! And she really is a wonderful six year old. She had a mellow birthday, but was so excited when Dad got home so she could finally open her presents and have cake. She couldn't wait to see what she was going to get. Here are some of Shayla's quotes from the day: "I don't feel any different from being five." "I went upstairs and came back down again and I totally feel six!" "I got everything that I wanted for my birthday!" "Birthday presents are so much fun!"

Happy Birthday, Shayla! We love you!

Dance

One of our Laurels in the ward decided to do a little dance class for the little girls in the ward for the summer.  The little girls love it, especially Cambree.  She thinks she is something special to be able to go to dance class.  We found an old leotard of Shayla's and put it on Cambree she knew she was so beautiful.

I tried to get some pictures of Cambree in her dance outfit, but she just couldn't hold still.  I told her to hold her feet still and this is what I got....

We had class in our basement.  Shayla is so good to help Cambree.  She helps her do what the teacher tell them to do and always sits right with her.

Cambree has to concentrate quite a bit in order to do the moves just right.

Shayla is a natural!  And loves to show off her grace and ability to the teacher.

They are learning  a little dance.  I think dancing may not be a profession for both girls, but who am I to judge, I never took dance.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend!  It started with a trip up to Snowbird to ride the tram and alpine slide.  We wished we had more time up there to enjoy all the activities they have for the summer guests.

Then off to see fireworks with cousins.  What a blast! (get it)  The best part of the evening was seeing Cambree roll down the hillside, horizontally instead of vertically.

Tianne was all bundled and ready for her first fireworks show.

We had some good times playing in the water

Then, of course, we have to throw the poppers!

Then came the exciting home fireworks show.

The best part of the weekend was blessing Tianne.  Oh course I had to dress the girls in red, white, and blue.

You have to have the traditional crying blessing shot.

The weekend ended with a great weenie roast!

Nothing like gathering as a family to eat!

It was the perfect weekend!  Thanks everyone for making it special!  We loved having you there to support us .  We love you all.
