Sweetness
We had the privilege of visiting my sweet Aunt Jayne and Uncle Terry. It's hard seeing people you love grow old. One blessing of Aunt Jayne's illness, is she doesn't know she's miserable. She has always played such a big part in my life and in all of my family's. It was great to see that her cute personality is still alive and well.
The girls loved visiting because Aunt Jayne has such cool toys.

Vacation?
Do you really call a two day car ride, two days out of the car and a two day car ride home again, with three small girls, a vacation? I don't, but Brian does. Regardless of what you call it, we had a good time. Washington is beautiful and visiting Barry and Emily is the best!!!! And now that it is over, I can say I had a good time too. Thank heavens for car dvd players!
The car ride started out great! Everyone was excited and happy.
We did have a little medical problem, but we had such great medical doctors, that our worries were quickly diminished.
Running and playing with cousins was the best.
Why go all that way, and not go to the Ocean. So off we went to spend the day playing in the sand and water. The ocean was a hit!

3 months
I am already three months old! I like growing and learning new things, even though I feel bad that my mom cries about it. I am so happy and laid back. I am such a good baby, I rarely even cry. I love my swing, especially my mobile. I will sit and talk and laugh at my butterflies all day long. I always wake up with a big smile on my face. I don't suck a thumb, or fingers, I just suck the whole fist! I sometimes gag myself by sticking fingers in my throat. I LOVE patty-cake! I giggle and giggle whenever Mommy plays it with me. I am such a happy, happy baby!
Six!
Is it possible? I have a six year old! And she really is a wonderful six year old. She had a mellow birthday, but was so excited when Dad got home so she could finally open her presents and have cake. She couldn't wait to see what she was going to get. Here are some of Shayla's quotes from the day: "I don't feel any different from being five." "I went upstairs and came back down again and I totally feel six!" "I got everything that I wanted for my birthday!" "Birthday presents are so much fun!"
Happy Birthday, Shayla! We love you!
