Halloween 2011

I'm not sure how Halloween has already come and gone, but it has! It was fun and successful despite illness. We had a great party with our friends up the canyon (that only Shayla and I could go to, due to illness) and a fun trunk or treat (we claimed wellness to make one round through the cars). We carved pumpkins, and of course trick or treated!

The chicken was reborn! And just like her older two sisters, she knew she was adorable in her costume! "Trick or Treat, brock brock!" was what we heard all Halloween night.

Our Princess was a princess!
There is nothing more exciting than being Ariel for Halloween.

Hermione Granger returned to our home this year.
It was really quite magical!

The three most awesome Trick or Treaters!

Getting free candy is the BEST!!!!!

Carving pumpkins!

Halloween night finally arrives and Shayla goes out by herself! I'm not sure I like this new phase in life.

Here's the other two going with their dad, like good girls are suppose to do.

Is it true that trick or treating with friends is more fun than with family? I'm not sure that the answer is yes, but Shayla might disagree with me.
(Did I mention I do not like this new phase in life?)

The Loot!!!!!

It may not be more fun, but you sure get a heck of a lot more candy when you do!

Raising Little Women

There is no handbook that tells us how to raise well-rounded young women. So we are doing the best we can.

We take them to traveling Broadway shows.

Take them hiking in the mountains.

Teach them to love each other.

Take them on outings.

Hope that teaching about the finer things in life are sinking in.
(This is one sign of success.)

And encourage them to enjoy life and cheer loud!

We won't know how well we have done until years later, but we're hoping and trying our very best. And we are having fun in the mean time!
