Can You Believe It?

What a great day!  We got the cutest pictures taken of Cambree, bought balloons (of course), went to Shayla's award ceremony, watched Finding Nemo, made a cake, open presents and even had the best surprise of all, a visit from the Thueson's.

Can you believe it?  Cambree is ...........

Shayla is so happy for Cambree to have a birthday.

Of course it had to be a puppy cake!

Cambree was so excited to see the puppy!

Just not so excited to see the fire.

But it tasted good.

Then came the loot!

What fun to hear the doorbell ring right as we were getting ready to start presents.  We were so surprised to see cousins!!! standing at the door wanting to join the party.  That's dedication to drive all the way from Idaho, just for our little party.

I think Shayla enjoyed the festivities a little more than Cambree.

Happy Birthday, Cambree!  We love you!!!

Principal's Pride

Shayla received the Principal's Pride award for leadership.  One  member of each class received this award, and Shayla was chosen. They said that the leadership award goes to children who make right choices even when others don't and set a good example for the other children.  Way to go Shayla!  She was so proud of herself.  I think she even won the Parent's Pride award too.

Our Backyard

"Look! Reindeer!"  Cambree cries.  They love to hang out in our yard and in our next door neighbors yard.  It is so much fun to watch them.  We even have lots of evidence of them all over our backyard.  Watch your step!  I'm not sure how much we'll like them when we start planting our garden and our tulips start to bloom, but for now, this is fun.

Personality

We are really quite heartbroken that our girls are all looks and no personality.  I mean, it would be fun if they had a little bit of a charm.  I just think they would have so much more to offer in life if their personality matched their cuteness.  Oh well...........I guess we'll just have to settle for these dull girls in our lives.

How to have a great New Year's Eve

Having a great New Year's Eve party requires little effort.  All you need are cousins, movies, and bubble wrap and wha-la a great party!  See for yourself.

Looks successful to me.

Christmas Success!

Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas Celebration started with a trip to Temple Square, to see the lights, on Christmas Eve.  It was fun to see the beautiful lights and then come home, read the Christmas story and go to bed.  Shayla was serious about going to sleep.  When we remembered, five minutes after we put her in bed, that we hadn't taken her potty, we went in and she was almost asleep already.  She went potty quickly then stated that she had to hurry and get to sleep so Santa can come.

Santa did come and we had a great Christmas this year.  The girls were good enough for Santa  leave them a dollhouse to share, equipped with dolls.  The girls were thrilled!

They even got berets from Grandma and Grandpa in France!  They are so styling!
I think Shayla looks just like a French girls with her dark pretty hair.
Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!  We love them!

After being snowed in, we enjoyed a quiet Christmas afternoon with Grandma and Papa(who  were snowed in with us after Christmas brunch) reading and playing.
What a great Christmas this year!  We hope yours was great too.

Magical Time of year!

It truly is a magical time of year to go to Disneyland!  Nothing like leaving snow storms and heading to 75 degree weather.  We had so much fun, going with Jennie and Phil.  Shayla thinks that we should always go with cousins or friends.  So the invitation is open.  The only catch, you pay your own way.

Does it get more magical than this?

The family picture!  They sure have grown since the first time we stood in front of the castle. (So have I)

Our first ride is always Dumbo.

Just hanging out with Dad! (Ben is squished in between them you just can't see him)

You have to go on the tea cups, whether or not you get sick.

Cambree loved waiting in line.  I think she liked not being strapped in a stroller or a ride.

Cambree couldn't wait to see Minnie...from far away.

Mickey was no better, but we did give him high fives.

Here's the gang!  They look like they enjoyed waiting for over an hour for the parade! (we didn't)

Everyone having fun!

One last pose.

Cousins are the best!

Back to reality!  Glad the girls were willing to carry their fair share of the load!
