Shayla got to participate in a special nursery rhyme program at school.  All the kindergartners had a poem to memorize,  had to dress up to go along with it, and bring a prop that also coincided.  They sang a lot of nursery rhyme songs as a group with cute actions. Shayla was the Queen of Hearts!  I personally thought Shayla did great.  We had fun coming up with a costume and she enjoyed performing.  Even her little sister enjoyed the program.  The yummiest part was the end where they served us "hot crossed buns."

She IS a little tart! And she'll soon steal some hearts. (That's totally backward of the poem...but it fits my purposes...back off!) Way to go Shayla!

i cannot believe how bold and confident she was! i thought for sure she'd look a little nervous and her voice would be soft-but NO! she's a natural performer (good luck with that!) love the cosutme, the mixing bowl, and best of all, the curtsy!! way to go, shayla!

Dan wants to know when Shayla is making some of her treat for him. Great job Shayla! You looked so calm and comfortable in front of the audience. You are very talented and did a great job choosing your props and costume!
