Well, it came too fast! First day of school and I've seen vast improvement in Shayla's mother's misty eye condition. Maybe having it sneak up on you, maybe being overwhelmed with so many other activities, or maybe just pure exhaustion makes the misty eye factor better. Not that there was no misting up at all, it just that there were no out and out sobbing from the maternal end. (Come to think of it, there has never been crying of any sort from the school child, just pure joy and excitement to go to school.) I did realize, however, that Shayla's mom was the only mom standing in the vast hoards of children, with her child, while the other moms congregated in the back and watched from afar.

A very UNhappy birthday to dad with all this! Glad she likes school but seriously, 3rd grade?! What's T going to do with both sisters gone to school this year?! What's mom going to do?! Yea for girls who like to learn, even if it breaks everyone else's heart.

What a beauty! I am so glad that she enjoys school. Hope that she continues to for many more years. Sure do love that girl and her misty eyed mother.
Just can't be true. They are growing up so fast. Waved to Spencer as he drove out for his first day as a junior, wow!!! No tears but kinda not liking how old they are. Doesn't make me feel old just missing their younger years.
