My Kind of Town, no more....

Well, the time has come to say good-bye, and I'm not happy about it. There is no more driving up to this house, walking up the walk, sitting on the porch swing, and hanging out with Grandma and Papa.

We can't even go out to the backyard and find a park, or go downtown Naperville and feed the ducks, or eat at our favorite restaurant.

We're hoping to see the amazing museums and sites of Chicago again, but who knows when.

The fabulous DuPage Children's museum is probably a thing of the past.

My kind of town Chicago, is my kind of town no more.
(sniff, sniff)

Blessing

After winning "Mother of the Year" yesterday, I received this sweet blessing at the end of the day. I love her voice!

5 Months

I'm five months old! I'm so much fun! I have found my voice, and it is soooo cool! I love to hear myself squeal. I am a proficient roller-over-er, really, I'm good. I also think my hands are great. I can actually reach for things, I'm just not that great at grabbing yet (unless it's your hair). I saw my feet and thought those were pretty great. I stared at them for a long time, I'm going to figure out how to grab them pretty soon. I love to drink apple juice, but Mommy won't give me any other food, except milk. I got to ride on my first airplane. I loved it. I slept and loved being held for three whole hours. I even got to see Chicago, it's a great city. I love my family and they love me!

Random

So here are some random pictures of this last month. Not much exciting has been happening in September. School has started, peaches have been dried and canned, and a couple of family outings have taken place without cameras in tow. So I figured I'd post a few of my favorite pictures that I have taken this month.

Grandma bought these cute sister shirts. We thought we'd better get a picture of the girls in them, before they are too small.

Shayla is quite the reader! She loves to read to her sisters. Here she is reading something on their level, not hers. She reads chapter books to me. Her favorite, Nancy Drew.

Well, we all know Tianne is mine. Here she is sleeping just like me, something over her eyes and her legs hanging out of the covers.

It's amazing how you get a toy out for the baby and everyone else wants to play too. The girls love to all play together with this one toy. (Why do I have so many toys at my house?)

Here she is, the star of the show! What a doll! (if I do say so myself)

Four Months!

Don't tell Mom, but I'm really liking growing up. I think I'm pretty cool, now that I'm four months old. I love being a part of things. I am still so happy and am loved by my sisters, and mom and dad. I sometimes think I won't have any cheeks left, since Mom thinks she needs to kiss them off. I've discovered my hands, I can even hold my binkie and pull it out of my mouth, and if I'm lucky I can get it back in. I even got to sit at the dinner table with my family today, which made me so happy (I hate being left out). I love to snuggle with my blanket, especially when I'm sleeping. I even rolled over, even though I no one saw me. I'm really strong and love to kick. This life thing is pretty cool!

1st Day of 1st

This is it, the point of no return. I have to admit I have tears as I write this. (Why do I have to be one of "those" moms?) She's off to 1st grade! How did this happen? Wasn't she just a baby? But despite my feelings, Shayla is SOOOOO excited. We've only had our outfit picked and laid out for five days. We've planned our first school lunch two weeks ago (tomatoes soup in a thermos). We met our teacher and saw our classroom, what else is there, but to actually start school. Cambree is going to miss her! She got up in time to say a quick good-bye. It's amazing how quiet the house is, and how I'm not sure what I'm suppose to be doing now. I'm sure she'll be off to college tomorrow with how fast time flies.
